Peahi (aka Jaws) went off in early December and I went to shoot it with a few people. Rumor has it the waves were reaching 50 foot faces for almost a week. Pretty mean. Oh btw, people have to be towed into these waves with a jetski because they are too fast to paddle into.
There were some big names out there in surfing like Laird Hamilton, and I think he may be in some of these pictures. It's just hard to tell. Hoping to look further through my take and id him and others.
