I am headed to Pangasinan on another relief mission in the morning. This region received some of the worst damage from the storms and another typhoon is anticipated to reach shortly. When I return I will post images from both 3 day missions. Also, my Grandfather came from Asignan, Pangasinan, so I am looking forward to walking on the land where many of my family's traditions were born.
Here are images from a relief mission on October 17th in Taguig City which is a Muslim community in Metro Manila. Many of its areas are still flooded and the need for relief goods is great.

Dearest Krystle,
It was wonderful hearing your voice last nite. I am so proud of you. (I just typed a comment for you but it didn't take so here I go again!) The devastation that is portrayed in your photos brings it all home. I hope that everyone who sees these pictures sends all of the help to the suffering filipinos. I knew you could do it! The lack of our modern conveniences like bathroom facilities is very difficult for you but your are doing it! I know that the filipinos are very appreciative of all of the help from your relief group and from you. I envy you for walking on the land, Pagasignan, that your Grandpa Pedro deAquino was born and raised. I know that he is proudly smiling at you, protecting you and is in awe since he last saw you when you were a young little girl. All of the Sisters and my fellow teachers at my school are praying for you as well as yours truly. Be Safe. Be Healthy. Enjoy and learn from the rest of your relief tour. Hugs, Kisses and Love, Mom
