I photographed this pretty amazing man a few weeks ago. He lost his leg in Iraq and after doing some research and persisting the VA, he was given a "smart" prosthetic leg. It is smart because the ankle automatically adjusts and if you saw him walking down the street with pants on, you wouldn't know that he was using a prosthetic by the appearance of his walk. Technology is pretty amazing.
