more news.
More.

Nutter wins, woop. This is the photo that ran on the covaa. What a crazy night! I followed
Mayor Nutter around from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Tuesday, with other assignments in
between. I really need a strong news week to break up the monotony of high school sports.
Thank God.

The day after the election, Officer Cassidy, who was shot in the face at Dunkin Donuts in
North Philadelphia was buried at the Cathedral Basiliqua of SS. Peter and Paul on the Parkway.
It was another long an intense day. Also a very good experience, but so sad to be a part of.

Hundreds of Police officers watched the funeral outside of the Cathedral because the inside
was packed to compacity.

I have never experience such an outpouring of support. I really grew a new respect for
police officers for taking care of their own. I think Officer Cassidy passing reminded a lot of
people how the lack of respect for life is really coming to a head in Philadelphia.
A friend of my brother's was shot and killed at Widener University a few years ago, and I was
driving home one day with my dad and he used those words to explain murders, "a lack of
respect for life," and I've always held that in my mind.

The captains.
